Summer Youth Swim Team Head Coach

Foxridge Foxes Swim Team – Centennial, CO

The Foxridge Foxes Swim Team is seeking an energetic, experienced, and inspiring

Head Coach for our summer season. This is a part-time, seasonal position based in

Centennial, Colorado. Our Head Coach will lead a vibrant team of approximately 130

swimmers, ages 5–18, and play a key role in shaping a fun, competitive, and inclusive

summer swim experience.

The Head Coach will work closely with an assistant coach, junior coaches and parent

volunteers to design and execute a successful season—developing practice plans,

hosting stroke clinics, and managing meet strategies. This role is ideal for a motivated

leader who is passionate about swimming, enjoys working with youth, and thrives in a

community-centered environment.

Time Commitment

Available from May 26, 2026 through July 18, 2026

Coach five morning (7:30am-10:45am) practices per week

Dedicate approximately 6 hours (6am-12pm) each weekend for Saturday

morning swim meets: May 30, June 6, June 13, June 20, July 11, and July 18

Dedicate approximately 2 hours on 2 evenings for Preliminary meets: July 7 & July 8

Attend team-sponsored social events

Additional time for administrative duties, meet scheduling, and season planning

Essential Duties

Manage the swim team with the assistant coach and instruct participants in rules,

regulations, equipment, and techniques

Organize and direct swim practices and stroke and turn clinics

Assess swimmer skills and monitor athletes during practices and competitions

Develop and execute meet strategies

Develop coaching techniques and mentor the junior coach program

Follow established procedures in the event of an injury

Model sportsmanlike behavior and maintain appropriate conduct with members,staff, and guests

Maintain swim equipment

Collaborate with coaching team to facilitate team-building activities

Minimum Qualifications

Experience as a swim coach for a swim team program preferred

Strong coaching techniques and instructional skills

Working knowledge of swim rules, strategies, and techniques

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with swimmers and parents

CPR certification required

A genuine affinity for working with children and young adults

Must successfully complete a background check prior to employment

Salary and Benefits

Compensation Range: $4,500–$5,500, based on qualifications and experience
