Position: Coach for Junior/Senior Program (Ages 13 & Over)
Location: Sunrise Swim Club @ Springfield College – Springfield, MA www.sunrise-swimclub.com
Type: 24 – 28 Hours/Week

Sunrise Swim Club is a leading swim organization in New England, serving over 70 athletes. In our first year, we were recognized by ASCA as #40 Age Group Team for Small Teams and USA Swimming Bronze Medal of Excellence We are expanding our dedicated coaching team and seek a motivated, dynamic coach passionate about developing swimmers.
Responsibilities
Assist with swim team practices and meets
Deliver instruction emphasizing technique, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Organize and facilitate effective workouts under the guidance of Head Coaches
Support team-building activities and parent communication
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Competitive swimming background with coaching or teaching experience
Expertise in swim technique and effective teaching skills
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with youth athletes
Strong communication skills for interaction with athletes, parents, and staff
USA Swimming certified coach with a successful track record in swimmer development and retention
Up-to-date with all USA Swimming coach membership requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Coaching Responsibilities
Support the development and success of swimmers
Follow and implement seasonal training plans, including practices, dryland, meets, and team activities
Complete meet entries accurately and on time, considering individual swimmer needs
Attend and support swimmers at swim meets
Conduct goal-setting meetings with swimmers to align season objectives
Maintain attendance at all practices
Collaborate effectively with coaching staff and communicate regularly with parents
Compensation & Hours
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience
September – June:
Monday through Thursday: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturdays 945 AM- 12:30 PM
June – July:
Monday – Friday: 6:30 – 9:00amm
Saturday: 7:15 - 945 AM
Note: Early morning workouts may also be scheduled. Serious applicants only.

Requirements
USA Swimming certified coach with a successful track record in swimmer development and retention
Up-to-date with all USA Swimming coach membership requirements
CPR Required
Lifeguard Certification Required
